AR Interviews Liz Carter Congressional Candidate for Georgia’s 4th District
“We present Liz Carter, a common-sense, business-minded conservative who understands full well the power of the free market and the economic growth that naturally comes from it. She is currently running for the Republican nomination in Georgia’s 4th District”
A packed and informative interview that provides an in depth look at who Liz Carter is and what she’ll do in Congress.
Sheriff Conway commends Liz Carter’s commitment to law enforcement
(ATLANTA)—Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Conway today announced his endorsement for leading Republican Congressional candidate Liz Carter in the House District 4 race.
Conway said he supports Carter because of her long-standing commitment for promoting local law enforcement, enhancing public safety in general and bringing sustainable jobs back to the region.
“Liz Carter is fully aware of the daily challenges faced on the frontlines of keeping our homes and businesses safe,” Conway said. “I know that she understands the ever-changing role of public safety personnel at all levels.”
“I am confident that she will work harder than anyone as our next Representative to give us the support we need to better serve our communities,” he added. “I am asking all of my fellow Gwinnett County voters, as well as all voters, living in her district to give their support to Liz Carter for Congress.”
Carter expressed her appreciation for Conway’s support. She also recognized Conway’s standing as a professional who has earned statewide respect for his years of strong leadership.
“Sheriff Conway is a model representative of what law enforcement is all about – a commitment to excellence in serving and protecting all,” Carter said. “I am also encouraged by his leadership in implementing the 287g program to expedite the deportation of criminal illegal aliens, which has been a real problem in our area.”
“I have pledged my support to all of our local public safety personnel to be their loudest voice and their dependable advocate in Washington,” she continued. “I am serious about supporting law enforcement and bringing an end to criminal behavior in all of our communities. Further, having real, sustainable job growth will help lower crime and create stronger families in the long run, Sheriff Conway understands that and I’m proud to have his support for our campaign.”
Liz Carter puts her professional experience to work for unemployed
Adds “Jobs Board” to LizCarterforCongress.com
(ATLANTA)—While many in Washington just talk about getting out-of-work Americans back on the job, leading Republican Congressional candidate Liz Carter is actually doing something to help business owners and unemployed Georgians.
Carter is using her professional experience and business connections to create a new job-posting database available to anyone with online access. The postings will be available at LizCarterForCongress.com.
Employers can create a free account to post details about available positions; the company name, position title, position type and job description will be made available on the site. Applicants can search the postings and apply online. Once resumes are received and reviewed, the applicant’s details are sent to the employer.
“I am doing what I can to immediately connect employers with prospective employees. My only objectives are to help unemployed Georgians get back to supporting their families and provide a free service to business owners.”
Carter is the only District 4 Congressional candidate with executive business management experience and is an accomplished entrepreneur and small business owner. She is a job creator who focuses on delivering best practices and thought leadership with those she works with. She’s been noted for her skill in managing high dollar business units, effective cutting costs and increasing revenues.
“I’ve yet to discover a single Georgian – let alone an entire family – that can honestly say they feel better about the billions of their tax dollars Congress has given away,” she said. “There is simply too much at risk for the immediate and future needs of Georgians to simply wish for things to get better.
“My hope is that everyone will take the opportunity to visit our site, LizCarterforCongress.com, utilize a free posting service and find an employment opportunity that meets their needs,” Carter added.

Leading candidate Carter challenges Congressman Johnson on spending borrowed money to create temporary jobs, undermining real growth
(ATLANTA)— Today leading Republican Congressional candidate Liz Carter challenged U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson on his call to spend TARP funds to “create jobs”.
Carter said Johnson helped create our financial crisis by opposing reforms to home lending. He then opposed steps to shore up the housing market while proposing to use ‘unspent’ TARP money to create short-term jobs.
“He has created a recipe for long-term disaster,” Carter said. “Even with the massive stimulus bill, Georgia saw 100,000 first-time applicants for unemployment in December.
“The $139 billion of remaining TARP funds would have little to no effect on the long-term health of the job market,” Carter continued. “Congressman Johnson is creating an even larger deficit and debt burden that will be a drag on private-sector job growth for years to come. It is like giving a candy bar to a tired runner – they will feel great for 5 minutes, but then they crash and burn, being worse than they were before.
Carter said she is eager to apply her business acumen gained from 18 years of business management and owning her own consulting firm to create sustainable job growth for the American people.
“We need to stop all of these efforts to spend and regulate our way out of this recession,” Carter said. “Small business owners will not add employees while Washington is creating legislation that will raise taxes and that creates more uncertainty. Business owners understand these spending schemes – eventually you run out of other people’s money.
“The Fourth District needs a Representative that understands the real world and how to manage and grow, sustainable businesses – in the private sector,” she added.
