Drill Baby Drill…

…and then we’ll be your biggest consumer! Yes, Obama has once again demonstrated his desire to create jobs and opportunity around the world, I mean anywhere but here, the United States.

Brazil must be thrilled to hear that Obama is concerned and committed to the future of the Brazilian energy industry.  Obama has pledged assistance with technology and support, because Brazil is sitting on a gold mine. Jobs will abound and Brazil is so lucky to have the commitment that when they are ready to start selling, the United States wants to be one of their best customers!

Democrats and republicans can and are agreeing that the President shouldn’t be and doesn’t have to be looking outside the United States for oil.

“President Obama didn’t have to go all the way to Brazil to find a ‘new, safe and stable’ source of oil. Energy opportunities are right here in Alaska.” Said Sen. Mark Begich, a Democrat representing an oil-rich state.

“We have abundant energy resources off Louisiana’s coast, but this administration has virtually shut down our offshore industry and instead is using Americans’ tax dollars to support drilling off the coast of Brazil,” Sen. David Vitter a Republican representing Louisiana, said in a statement. “It’s ridiculous to ignore our own resources and continue going hat-in-hand to countries like Saudi Arabia and Brazil to beg them to produce more oil.”

While Americans are feeling the pain of the price of oil increasing, gasoline costs skyrocketing, food prices rising, this administration is doing all it can to delay job creation and oil drilling within the United States.

Even though the official moratorium was lifted in the Gulf of Mexico, after intense criticism and legal challenges, the oil industry here at home is still stalled.  According to the Justice Department, 270 shallow and 52 deepwater applications are basically stuck in a quagmire, while new restrictions and regulations are being created.

No worries, Obama is simply committing resources to the world so we can be dependent on everyone else, no need to be self-reliant, Obama wants to be President of the World and I’m sure other countries will come to our aid when we are in need.  After all, we have a leader who believes we need to support the world and distribute our wealth and power; surely other leaders put the world before their own country.

Americans should be outraged. Jobs need to be created here in the United States. The United States has resources that could decrease our dependencies on foreign countries for oil that we are not utilizing.

Someone really needs to explain to Obama that his title is the President of the United States and the United States should be his first priority.

Big Government vs. Limited Government

The Georgia Senate voted on SB 10, a bill that is as simple as can be, “Yea” supports limited government with local control and “Nay” supports big government more control. Today, 32 Senators stood strong and voted for limited government, a win for Georgia!

It’s a very clear picture – those who voted “N” need to be challenged in the next election!

BTW
Senator Fran Millar, Thank you and I’m proud you are my Georgia State Senator!
