Carter Thanks the 4th District

Carter will continue to build momentum and unseat Congressman Johnson in November

(ATLANTA) – The July 20th primary was the culmination of a vigorous campaign for Carter who announced her bid in November 2009. By avoiding a runoff in a highly contested primary, Carter’s message resonated throughout the district as was evidenced by her overwhelming win yesterday.

“I’m tremendously thankful to the people of District 4,” remarked Carter, “It’s now time to redouble our efforts and focus on victory in November. We will Yank Hank.”

Carter’s message of restoring the district to its once “shining jewel” status includes bringing jobs back to the area, improving the quality of education, and addressing the serious issues of illegal immigration.

Carter Stands for Accountability

Liz Carter’s Dedication to Accountability Shown in Recent Campaign Disclosures

(Atlanta)— In the most recent Federal Election Commission Disclosures Liz Carter is the only Republican to fully account for every contribution and expenditure made on behalf of the campaign.  One of Carter’s opponents, at the time of the release, had not filed his disclosure; and the other two do not disclose that the campaign spent five thousand-two hundred and twenty dollars on qualification fees or where the qualification money came from.

“The citizens of our district deserve to know, not only who contributes to a campaign, but also what the campaign money is spent on,” said Carter. “At a time when we want to hold our elected officials fiscally responsible, we should be holding those running for office to the same standards. If they don’t follow rules today, why would we assume they will tomorrow?”

Accountability has been the bedrock of the Carter campaign and the recent round of disclosures has only further illustrated this. Voters should review the FEC disclosures and determine for themselves, if they want accountability from their Congressman, and reflect that when they cast their ballot on Tuesday.

Carter best pick to represent us in 4th District

Since the middle of February, it has been my distinct pleasure to get to know, on a personal basis, Liz Carter, who, if and when she wins the July 20 Republican primary, will most likely be running for the Georgia 4th Congressional District seat against Hank Johnson.

Rockdale County and the rest of the 4th District desperately need a change in the kind of leadership that has been the hallmark of the Hank Johnson tenure in that office. Carter will provide a new kind of leadership that spells out exactly what her goals are for reducing the power, control and, yes, subjugation by the federal government over the majority of American citizens who are angry at what they are seeing under this administration, and is supported by Johnson.

She has a strong background upon which she can draw. As an independent businesswoman, she knows what is involved to solve problems, manage million-dollar budgets, and select and place highly qualified business personnel who are skilled in critical management situations.

She understands how our tax system has had an ongoing stranglehold on small businesses, the backbone of the U.S. economy and the free market system. She can envision how the FairTax would provide the stability small businesses need in order to plan for future expansion and create jobs to grow this lagging economy. Hank Johnson is dead set against the FairTax for one of two reasons: either he doesn’t really understand it — and I have discussed this with him — or he understands that it will wrest control from his — and the federal government’s — hands and return it to the people, a situation he is loathe to consider. Personally, I’m betting on the second reason.

Regarding an additional tax matter: Johnson just co-sponsored House Resolution 3590, “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,” which will require the W-2 form sent to you by your employer to include the value of health insurance you are provided. This means that your gross income will rise by the amount of insurance your employer paid for you, so your taxes will rise based on that additional gross income. For some, that could mean an increase of $10,000 to 15,000.

Liz totally supports the Second Amendment. Hank Johnson gives lip service to it. He recently introduced legislation that would prevent law-abiding, licensed people from protecting themselves in and around certain areas of airports, and when questioned about how he would prevent armed criminals and predators from carrying weapons in these areas, he could not and would not provide an answer.

There are other issues of concern for Liz, including getting our education system refocused to control at the local level, but this short summary outlines why I am a Liz Carter supporter. In a word, she wants to restore freedom to her constituents. Ask yourself if you have more freedom now than you did 18 months ago. I think the answer is obvious.

Carter Endorsed by Georgia GunOwner Magazine

Georgia GunOwner Magazine Identifies Liz Carter as Best 4th District Candidate to Protect 2nd Amendment Rights

(ATLANTA) – Michael S. Kindberg, Editor and Publisher of Georgia GunOwner Magazine today announced his endorsement of Liz Carter, the leading Republican Congressional candidate in the House District 4 race.

Kindberg said that his due diligence on the candidates convinced him that Carter is the strongest advocate for Georgia gun owners’ rights. “When I read Liz’s response to Representative Johnson’s bill that was meant to over-ride state legislation protecting gun owner rights, I knew Liz understood the issues and would fight to protect the rights of responsible gun owners.”

“I so appreciate the Georgia GunOwner Magazine endorsement and their passion for protecting our gun rights,” Carter said, reiterating her strong opposition to Johnson’s bill, “Hank Johnson has consistently shown himself weak in supporting our Constitutionally guaranteed Second and Tenth Amendment rights,” she said, “When I am elected the gun owners of Georgia will have a tireless advocate not a reckless adversary as their representative.”

Kindberg couldn’t agree more, “From what I’m told, Liz is a crack shot, so I’d say her stance on protecting our gun rights is right in the center of the target.”

This endorsement adds to the many that demonstrate Liz’s ability to Yank Hank from Congress and her commitment to serve the people of District 4.  Her other endorsements include two leaders of the Atlanta Tea Party Patriots, the DeKalb Fraternal Order of Police, the Republicans of Morehouse College, Gwinnett Sheriff Butch Conway, Norcross Mayor Bucky Johnson, State Representative Mike Jacobs, RedState and many others.

About Georgia GunOwner Magazine
Georgia GunOwner Magazine, via direct distribution, has been providing information and articles of interest to Georgia’s responsible gun owners while being an advocate for gun owner rights since 1994.  The magazine evolved from a need to provide a communications link between the gun rights activist publisher and the many gun owners wanting to be updated on Second Amendment issues in Georgia.  That small group of interested gun rights advocates in 1994 has now grown to over 300,000 in 2010, of which over 200,000 are registered Georgia voters.

Liz Carter, a small business owner with lots of business experience

From the World Journal, serving the Asian Community. Click here to see original article.
Liz Carter is a Republican running for the 4th Congressional district of Georgia, a small-business owner with lots of business experience,
who is looking forward to the support of the ethnic Chinese community.

Carter says she fully supports legal immigration, and that illegal immigration doesn’t just damage the American system, but it also damages every individual American. She recognizes that for the security of the borders, immigration laws must be reenforced, and especially given the current poor state of the economy, Americans can’t afford those who don’t follow the normal procedure to enter the United States, especially illegal immigrants who don’t pay taxes.

The Georgia State Senate bill SB67 proposed making the driver’s licence examination English-only, provoking heated discussion on both sides. Carter supported this bill.  Turning to the international market, Carter recognizes that Georgia ought to provide a friendly business environment, to attract investment from all over.

Carter says that of the current members of Congress, only 10% have accumulated any business experience, and 90% don’t understand American enterprise. Her candidacy for Congress is based on a desire to listen to the voice of small business, reduce corporate taxes, prevent new tax increases. She says US companies are overly taxed, raising costs for the companies.

The 4th District Carter is running for includes: the majority of Dekalb County, Rockdale County, and southern Gwinnett County. Carter says the constituents of the district are very diverse, mainly Asian, Hispanic, and African American, with Whites making up less than 45%. In the Republican Primary on 7/20, Carter first hopes to garner Asian votes, and also the support of Asian businesses.
